Academic Editor — Engineering Fields

Department: Editing Remote (Worldwide) Contract / Freelance

Edit manuscripts across engineering disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, materials, geotechnical). Ensure journal-ready clarity, consistency, and terminology accuracy without altering scientific claims.

Responsibilities
  • Language editing & proofreading with Track Changes
  • Style, clarity, and cohesion improvements
  • Terminology & consistency checks per field
  • On-time delivery across 48–72h and 4–5 business-day windows
Requirements
  • Advanced degree (PhD/MSc) in a relevant engineering field
  • Strong command of academic English style
  • Proven experience editing journal manuscripts
  • Commitment to ethical editing (no ghostwriting)

Language Assistant — English & Russian

Department: Language Support Remote (EU/UK time zones preferred) Part-time / Contract

Provide bilingual (EN/RU) language assistance: correspondence with authors, light copy-editing, basic QA checks, and coordination with editors.

Responsibilities
  • Bilingual support (English/Russian) in email & document handling
  • Light copy-editing and formatting checks
  • Terminology look-ups and reference tidying
  • Coordination with assigned editors and QA
Requirements
  • Fluent English and Russian (written & spoken)
  • Excellent communication and responsiveness
  • Attention to detail; familiarity with academic style a plus
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
