1) Services

LinguaProofing provides academic proofreading and editing services intended to improve clarity, grammar, readability, and consistency. Unless explicitly agreed in writing, our services do not include ghostwriting, generating new scientific content, changing the meaning of your claims, or guaranteeing publication/acceptance outcomes.

2) Orders, Inputs & Your Responsibilities

By submitting a request or placing an order, you confirm that you own your materials or have permission to share them, and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights (copyright, confidentiality, privacy) or institutional/journal policies.

• You are responsible for reviewing all edits and ensuring the final document reflects your intended meaning.
• You must not upload malware, unlawful content, or infringing material.
• If your manuscript contains personal or sensitive data, you should anonymize where possible and ensure you have a lawful basis to share it.

3) Pricing & Payment

Pricing is typically per word and may vary by service tier and turnaround. Any on-site quote is an estimate based on the information you provide. Final pricing is confirmed in your order confirmation/invoice. Payment terms (including whether payment is required before work begins) may depend on the project scope and will be communicated at the time of order.

4) Turnaround Times

We aim to meet agreed deadlines. Turnaround times are estimates based on word count, service tier, and operational capacity. We are not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control (e.g., provider outages) or delays caused by late/incomplete information from you.

5) Revisions

Revision rounds, where included, are limited to addressing language issues within the original scope. Revision requests should be submitted within a reasonable time after delivery (typically within 7 days unless otherwise agreed). Revisions do not cover new content added after delivery or major scope changes.

6) Cancellations & Refunds

Because our services involve time-sensitive professional work, refunds depend on project status:

• Before work begins: cancellation may be eligible for a refund minus processing/administrative fees.
• After work begins: refunds may be partial to reflect work already performed.
• After delivery: issues are typically handled through revisions within scope rather than refunds.

We do not guarantee “full refunds within 30 days” as a blanket policy; each case is handled reasonably based on documented scope and progress.

7) Confidentiality

We treat submitted documents and communications as confidential and restrict access to staff/contractors who need it to deliver the service. Editors operate under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information only if required by law or with your explicit consent.

8) Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your documents. We claim no authorship or ownership rights in your content. You grant us a limited license to process your files solely to provide the requested services.

9) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Services are provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee outcomes such as acceptance, publication, or business results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a specific order will not exceed the amount paid for that order.

10) Privacy

We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after updates take effect indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
